What "Full Sail" means to me

Full Sail is my term that reminds us of the old cutter sailing ships when all their sails are open and turned to catch every breath of heaven to move forward. When life is at full sail we are moving entirely at the breath of God, dependent on every breeze from heaven. It is a condition that is timely. You cannot sail like this every day, 365 days per year. Progress is intermittent, and while some days you move without all your sails functioning, for those glorious full-sail days, you are moving at a great space. On the clipper, some sails are more important than others. Some are larger, some smaller, just like events in our lives. Some sails are always open to the larger winds, and sometimes the smaller sails add a bit to both your speed and your progress. At present, for me, full sail means: 1. Working on the final courses for my Ph. D. 2. Completing the editing of my book for publication 3. Teaching classes for various schools. (As an adjunct I teach for multiple schools, but in pools, so some schools (sails) are not open all the time. 4. Impacting lives through networking, communications, counseling. motivating others. 5. Learning to enjoy the blessings of heaven every day. 6. Having a grateful heart, and expressing gratitude 7. Surrounding myself with champions, maximizing what can be accomplished 8. Seeking the middle way and moderation in all things. 9. Planning the times of recovery, when some sails are down and enjoying the periods of slower progress, but preparing for the next stage. 10. Constantly analyzing for greater efficiency, purpose, and direction. What does being at "FullSail" mean for you? I would love to hear from you. Dr. Mike
